Well I know... I know

Well just a quick life update, with the lovely pandemic going on things have been insane for me and our family. I am still waiting to go back to work even after being told that I would be able to start back in July. Little has been back at daycare since I was informed that just before her birthday. Which she is officially a preschooler this year, not just a preschool 3-4 yrs she is actually in pre-kindergarten classes at her daycare. I am so proud of her. 

Crafting wise I have completed several projects and started a few as well. I have finished the strawberry cardigan for the littles Easter dress, and am currently working on the steggie sweater for this fall for her. I’m trying really hard to open her color horizons as she only wants to wear pink.  I did get her to agree that stegosaurus’ were not pink in color fully so she could have pink for the spikes but not for the whole body of the sweater. Crochet wise I did just complete a stuffed unicorn and started the Sophie’s universe CAL blanket. I love the difficulty of this pattern so far it’s pretty easy and it’s showing me all sorts of new stitches. 

Crafty goodness: June update

Well I have finished a couple prices in the last few months. Not as many as I would like but a fair few. 

Baby booties:

These were for a good friend of mine. I finished them in a decent amount of time but instead of sending them out when they were finished like a good crafter they sat in my apartment collecting dust while I worked on something else to go with them. I did send them out just in time for the baby to be born though so that is a plus right. 

Cable knit teddy bear: 

This is how far I am on this little guy. I have yet to figure out how it will work without making two pieces. We shall see how this turns out. Now I am off to creating a plan for my moving process with the BF. Talk to you all later. 

Crafty update: UFO edition.

Let's see what Unfinished objects do I have in my possession currently... 

Well there is the Galveston square shawl, honestly I don't know where that one got to I was working on it for the Olympics but when we moved I'm not sure what box it got put into and we never really unpacked. I did I believe make it to chart b and row 32 of that chart. I was keeping a pretty accurate tally on a note in my phone as I couldn't print out the pattern. 

There is also the granny square afghan I was working on while I was working at the maternity store and forgot where that had gotten to for the last couple of months. However I did recently find this again and even found where I had placed the pattern so I will start working on it again tomorrow morning, after I file paper work. 

And lastly there is the baby dress that I was working on for a co-worker in that maternity store...

She already had the baby so I don't think it will work anymore as that gift and will probably get ripped out and made into a doll of some sort. I'm thinking it will be a teddy bear and I will make the bear in the grey color and make a dress or outfit for the bear in the hot pink she wanted the flowers on the dress to be. 

Little rant, and fun

I'm sorry I have been a neglectful blogger again due to this full time job and the holiday season being upon us. But these last couple of weeks have been so crazy. I had intense training and now I have been getting used to a new route to get to and from work every day, which is crazy. 

I don't know if I told you all that I was invited to an old co-worker's baby shower this month, and while unfortunately I was unable to attend I did make her a dress for the baby. It is really cute a soft dove gray knit with cotton candy pink flowers on it, I will post the picture when I find my camera. I plan on giving it to her in the next couple of days when I have a chance to get to that mall again. I might also add a baby blanket or one of the crocheted dolls I have on hand. Not sure on that though, we'll see. 

This was the start of today's craziness but it ended in an uneventful manner. 

Work wise, I helped with a bit of a massive ad change over for our Black Friday sale. Which meant staying at work until 10:40 this evening to get it ready for when the doors open up tomorrow at 6pm. Can someone explain that logic to me? Why is it so inportant to shop earlier and earlier on thanksgiving weekend? Now people can't even have their dinners at dinner-time, there are actually places opening up at 3-4pm on thanksgiving day; I find it discusting. And the fact that one of my new co-workers is going to support it is even more disturbing to me. But that is a soap box for another time. This is supposed to be a happy time of year.

Well it is Monday and I did not get a single run in last week. Every time that I made plans to something ended up happening between the rain/snow/ice mix a couple times this week to twisting my ankle again at work. But over all it has been a pretty productive week.I have amost finished a crochet project (more on that later today). I had thought that non-fiction books were not for me (see post {here} about that) turns out I was just having issues focusing on it but once I got into the book it had been moving along at a decent clip. If you are curious it is still this book that I am reading

 I even bought a new agenda to help keep me organized and it is working out pretty well. I might post about it later, as I have to figure out how to switch things around and out of my old planner. But I do so love the colors of this one

And I got it on clearance cause the new year has already started. And on a side note not having a planner to organize my days was one of the reasons I was having difficulty focusing on my reading. now that I have this one I can plan out my whole month with my work schedule and blogging schedule as well. So excited with all this. Well that is it for now, look out for my crafty update later today.
