I swear sometimes it really does pay to have a best friend who is into graphic design as well as crafting. She offered to design me some new business cards. so to thank her I think I am going to get her some sparklies for Christmas/Halloween gifts, as I cannot really pay her at the moment, not that she asked me to. she does such amazing work that I definitely feel like I should do something for her as well. The only real problem with that idea is that I would have to wait and see how much I have left after paying my bills next week before I go on a spending spree on Christmas gifts. I might end up only getting the rest of my immediate family gift cards and making some Christmas cards as well. This way everyone gets a gift that they really want and I don't have to spend an arm and a leg on shipping costs. although I do still have to send out my sister's gift and send back a watch box that my mother sent me by mistake so I guess that I will end up having to get everyone else actual gifts as well. But we will just have to wait and see like with my friend's gifts as well.
As it stands at the moment I have to pay last month and this month's student loan payment along with whatever late fee is associated with the late fee for last month, and my auto insurance this month. While I don't think that it will be too bad as I do get paid in a week and I can take last month's loan payment and my insurance out of that along with rent. Fingers crossed that this plan works out, cause the second paycheck this month I will be taking out the current month's payment for the loan. It's gonna be a tight Christmas I think.
I think i might end up having to get a second job soon if my boss doesn't give me more hours at work. The only problem with getting a second job is that I wont be able to see my boyfriend as much. I mean I rarely get to spend much time with him as it is. He is working full time and my boss doesn't usually give me the days off that she said she would. Oh well. maybe it will all work out right? we shall see.

so fun weekend...
So this weekend was a lot of fun, though I did jack up my nose (will explain later). anyway on Friday my friend Marina came up from Loveland to hang out and we ended up going to this photography club meeting, which while kinda interesting I was expecting it to be very loosely organized like the Japan club and anime club meetings are, which is to say organized but still fun and slightly chaotic, which for me is how I tend to work. however this meeting was just in general dysfunctional because the "officers" had planned on going out of town to Breckenridge for the weekend, without really looking at the weather. which in turn made the meeting be kinda boring to be honest. now the best part of the evening on Friday is when Marina and I went to Little Ceasers to get some pizza and bread sticks for dinner. It was windy and it was snowing, and when I opened my door to get out and started to step out and stand up, the wind blew the door shut on my nose and slammed the back of my head to the door frame. Now I had never seen stars in my life after getting hit in the face with things, this time I did and it was soo weird. and I had the worst headache all of Saturday afternoon. But I still had a blast with Marina. I helped her with her knitting project, a little stuffed knitted kitten pattern, which she did exactly as described and I had to tinker with the pattern cause I hate working in garter stitch. so mine is a stocking stitch kitten, and I promise to post some pictures of it when I finish it. probably tomorrow.
Saturday morning Marina and I went and did a photo shoot in the freshly fallen snow at my apartment complex. most of the pictures from that I posted on my deviantart.com account but here is one with all of the dolls that I used in it, dolls playing in the snow it was fun and I would love to do it again, though I don't think that there is going to be much more snow this season... with Marina here I was able to figure out just what I need to make wings for the dolls. so the panda suit doll will soon have wings in order to be posted. I also had the idea that I might make some crocheted doll bags, not really sure how that will turn out but I may very well make a prototype for it this weekend. Anyway I will post some pictures of the wings as I have them this far a little later today.Saturday Marina and I also went to check to see if the new Joann's was open and it was ::::sqweee:::: sorry I have a slight obsession with that store, it is one of the few places where I can go and truly relax without feeling like I am all kinds of out of place. I also found out that they're hiring for a knitting and quilting teachers. so I definitely had to put my hat into the fray. As a result of me calling the number which was provided, I have an interview this evening, to which I need to bring some samples of my work. so I am bringing a couple sweaters, a stuffed toy (which has a hidden pocket), my current lace project, as well as my panda doll, so it should be interesting having someone judge my work and tell me if I am good enough to teach knitting. I am not really sure if I am or not but we shall see. I have taught several people how to knit and crochet in a decent amount of time. but we shall see if I get this job.
I also have to meet with my group in Japanese class today in order to figure out exactly what we are going to do for our group project. I really wanted to do Kachakacha yama. A story about a tanuki, a farmer and his wife, and a rabbit. mostly because it has something to do with the skit we did last semester. but we shall see what we come up with this time around. I also should be getting my kanji quiz back from Friday and I really hope that I did well on it, yet somehow I do not think that it is possible anymore. mostly because I could not figure out the sentences at the end.
on a totally unrelated note I made chocolate covered oreo's last night as part of a valentines day present for my Bf. Instead of watching what I was told after was a horrible performance at the super bowl. He is also getting a bright red kitten with an embroidered heart, a couple different boxes of chocolates (mint, white w/ sprinkles, and pink) an brownies. I am pretty sure that this is all that I will be sending to him as I think that it might end up being a little bit heavier than I was expecting. but I don't really care, I do kinda feel bad for sending him soo many sweets since he doesn't really eat them, but maybe he can share them with his coworkers or something of that sort.well that is all I have to say at the moment. sad isn't it. later all

Siblings off to school
Today is the first day of the spring semester for my younger siblings. So I get the house to myself again. The only issue that I can see with it is that my sister likes to get up at 430 in the morning. Oh how I am missing my apartment.
I finished the yellow doll yesterday and made it a kitteh, because I have made way too many bunnies in the last couple days. Unfortunately I started on another doll last night and I have a feeling that I won't have enough yarn to make all of the pieces. So maybe making it into a panda bear is the better option. We shall see. I might even make a charm bracelet for myself today or work on my quilt, who knows.
Sadly classes don't start for me until the 17th though I kind of wish they would just start already because I hate this constant waiting, it's enough to drive someone insane.

Should be baking cookies
I know I should be baking Christmas cookies right now, but I can't seem to stop cleaning. This simple fact is driving me insane. I want to have a room where I can easily access my computer, which I have not been able to use in well over a year. Gotta love visiting family and going back to sharing a room with a younger sibling. Anyway I still have to make the clothes for my sister's bunny doll. Bake cookies and applebutter bread to mail to my bf for christmas. I decided he isn't gonna get a purple monkey because that just seemed too mean at the time. So I will be giving him a brown bear doll in a microfiber sweater that I made last year. I think that I might be able to start this whole craft business thing as soon as I get used to Photoshop again, hence the need for my desktop instead of my laptop today, cause I need to design a logo and whatnots for an etsy.com sellers page. Not to mention get some inventory made. I think zipper pulls, cards, dolls, and doll clothes, would be a good start.
Anything really to get my mind off the wait for my grades this semester. Which reminds me I need to get in contact with the TILT office on campus during this break to find out why I do so horribly on exams and yet so well on papers and essays. Could be because I tend to be very verbose when I write for essays, the more complex the words the better the grade so long as you use them correctly, atleast that has been my experience. Well I am off to clean this room some more, maybe I cab get to my desk by the end of the day. (^_^) laters

well well well
two posts in two days that has to be a miracle this year (~.~;) sorry. today's final is Islam cosmology and practice, While it is an interesting class it is moderately demanding of my time, reading wise and yet I still can not seem to be able to draw on that information for the exams in the class, I can use the information derived from those readings in my other classes for examples on essay exams and what not but I am forever perplexed upon the reasoning as to why I cannot do that for this class. it makes no sense. oh well.
while the last couple months I have been debating selling the dolls that I make in my spare time since they're what I have been doing in order to remain sane during the semester I seem to have accumulated quite a bit of them in the last couple weeks, while i did post this on my deviantart account I did not on here, mostly because I am still researching this idea... and I tend to use research as a procrastination technique... I know not healthy but it saves me from the issue of half-baked ideas in the long run really. anyway in my research I was looking into how much I could possibly sell these dolls and the clothes that I make for them for, and I actually found someone selling crocheted ~18" dolls on etsy.com for 98 USD... $98 bucks really that is something that absolutely confounds my mind that someone could sell a doll that was crocheted for that much money, I was thinking like maybe selling mine for max about $20-30 depending on size and if it is a custom order I might charge more. I mean if I buy the safety eyes in bulk its only about $15 for 50 pairs of clear and I can paint them myself right....
on another note I am on the second ear for my sister's dead bunny and it is just as sparkly as the dead kitteh I made for my friend marina a couple weeks ago. I kinda like it, Dale's blanket is still not seamed yet nor does it have its border either I have been crazy busy studying for finals in the last couple weeks, however I did get the monkey that I was making almost finished as well, so when I go home on Friday I have to remember to bring them and the present that marina made him with me so that I can mail them out. I will probably edit this post later today to add pictures of the dolls that I have finished in the last couple weeks.
