so fun weekend...

So this weekend was a lot of fun, though I did jack up my nose (will explain later). anyway on Friday my friend Marina came up from Loveland to hang out and we ended up going to this photography club meeting, which while kinda interesting I was expecting it to be very loosely organized like the Japan club and anime club meetings are, which is to say organized but still fun and slightly chaotic, which for me is how I tend to work. however this meeting was just in general dysfunctional because the "officers" had planned on going out of town to Breckenridge for the weekend, without really looking at the weather. which in turn made the meeting be kinda boring to be honest. now the best part of the evening on Friday is when Marina and I went to Little Ceasers to get some pizza and bread sticks for dinner. It was windy and it was snowing, and when I opened my door to get out and started to step out and stand up, the wind blew the door shut on my nose and slammed the back of my head to the door frame. Now I had never seen stars in my life after getting hit in the face with things, this time I did and it was soo weird. and I had the worst headache all of Saturday afternoon. But I still had a blast with Marina. I helped her with her knitting project, a little stuffed knitted kitten pattern, which she did exactly as described and I had to tinker with the pattern cause I hate working in garter stitch. so mine is a stocking stitch kitten, and I promise to post some pictures of it when I finish it. probably tomorrow.

Saturday morning Marina and I went and did a photo shoot in the freshly fallen snow at my apartment complex. most of the pictures from that I posted on my deviantart.com account but here is one with all of the dolls that I used in it, dolls playing in the snow it was fun and I would love to do it again, though I don't think that there is going to be much more snow this season... with Marina here I was able to figure out just what I need to make wings for the dolls. so the panda suit doll will soon have wings in order to be posted. I also had the idea that I might make some crocheted doll bags, not really sure how that will turn out but I may very well make a prototype for it this weekend. Anyway I will post some pictures of the wings as I have them this far a little later today.

Saturday Marina and I also went to check to see if the new Joann's was open and it was ::::sqweee:::: sorry I have a slight obsession with that store, it is one of the few places where I can go and truly relax without feeling like I am all kinds of out of place. I also found out that they're hiring for a knitting and quilting teachers. so I definitely had to put my hat into the fray. As a result of me calling the number which was provided, I have an interview this evening, to which I need to bring some samples of my work. so I am bringing a couple sweaters, a stuffed toy (which has a hidden pocket), my current lace project, as well as my panda doll, so it should be interesting having someone judge my work and tell me if I am good enough to teach knitting. I am not really sure if I am or not but we shall see. I have taught several people how to knit and crochet in a decent amount of time. but we shall see if I get this job.

I also have to meet with my group in Japanese class today in order to figure out exactly what we are going to do for our group project. I really wanted to do Kachakacha yama. A story about a tanuki, a farmer and his wife, and a rabbit. mostly because it has something to do with the skit we did last semester. but we shall see what we come up with this time around. I also should be getting my kanji quiz back from Friday and I really hope that I did well on it, yet somehow I do not think that it is possible anymore. mostly because I could not figure out the sentences at the end.

on a totally unrelated note I made chocolate covered oreo's last night as part of a valentines day present for my Bf. Instead of watching what I was told after was a horrible performance at the super bowl. He is also getting a bright red kitten with an embroidered heart, a couple different boxes of chocolates (mint, white w/ sprinkles, and pink) an brownies. I am pretty sure that this is all that I will be sending to him as I think that it might end up being a little bit heavier than I was expecting. but I don't really care, I do kinda feel bad for sending him soo many sweets since he doesn't really eat them, but maybe he can share them with his coworkers or something of that sort.
well that is all I have to say at the moment. sad isn't it. later all
