Disney Princess runcation

So last week, as you all know, I flew down to Disney world for some time with my family before I ran my first big long race. I had so much fun seeing them all. 

This was the second day in the parks. I don't know how my sister managed to convince everyone that we needed hats or ears or even how I ended up with ears but yea there you go we did the cliche Disney thing almost.

But these things should not be the focus of this post, but rather the real reason I was down in Florida, the Disney Princess 1/2 marathon weekend. My mother and I ran/walked the 13.1 miles of this course from Epcot to magic kingdom and back again. 

Unfortunately I did not get a picture of my mother and I before the start of the race, she did but has yet to send it my way. Oh well, I do have this photo though from

Over all I would say after the fact I really enjoyed the race, but if you had asked me if I liked it those last 3.1 miles of it I might have wished for the energy to punch you in the face. And needless to say we did finish and have the shirts to prove it. 

And let's not forget that insane medal that was the driving force to get through the last 3 miles. 

Would I do it again? In a heartbeat. I'm actually thinking of doing another 1/2 this year and maybe even 2 more. But we shall see how it goes. 

And I promise not to drop off the face of the earth again just because of work and packing. I really need to keep up with my editorial calender. 😓😅 I know I'm bad at it, but the year started off so promising. 

Well that there is 1 race of my 14 in '14 challenge. Maybe the next one will be a 5k with the bf. Only time will tell.
