Book review: The Help

So this week I read The Help by Katheryn Stockett. This book follows the lives of three women in Jackson, Mississippi set to the backdrop of the civil rights movement of the 1960's. While it was a slow read to begin with, because like I have said before, historical fiction and non-fiction aren't really things that pick up my interest. The jumping around from person to person didn't help too much either. But over all not a bad book, I honestly can't believe it had taken me so long to read it. But I will say that I didn't really care too much for the ending.

Would I recommend this book? Yea I think I would, it is a good read and I did enjoy it. Would I read it again? Probably not any time soon, it was just too hard to stay focused on it for long periods of time before I hit the halfway point. I mean I had to keep looking at the table of contents to see how much longer I would have to be reading the same chapter. I am glad that I did read it though.

Well that is it for this review. Next up I think I might read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies again, I am not sure though or maybe I will actually pick up and finish The Diviners.

What would you choose? And as always luv ya all!
