Or
is it? As I stand writing the draft for this crochet update, I am super
excited. Not because of the content itself (not super holiday oriented) but
rather the fact that I found an open pack of Green, yes green, pens at work. Now
I know this does not seem like a super interesting thing, but since I was
informed last week we were only aloud to order black pens, finding a green one is
very rare. So I am writing this post in green and red depending on the
paragraph. Not to worry folks I will not be making the post itself these
colors, I just think that it might be a little too much to handle. That being
said lets get down to the knitty gritty of this post.
Lately
I haven’t really had super amounts of time to get everything done that I want
to get finished on these yarnie persuits, due to having a totally backwards
work schedule and massive running schedule. But I will say that because of the
backwards work schedule (being given the hours where no one comes into the
store) I have been finding that I can work on my crochet and/or work on
planning out blog posts after I have cleaned up the store after the last customer.
That being said I have been working on my latest domo-kun doll a lot more than
the blue bear. Now in the past, before I finished college, I had made this
Domo-Kun doll and even worked out a pattern for it because I was thinking about
selling it eventually in my etsy shop, that being said before I started
working on this new version I had wanted to find my pre-written pattern to
refer back to… the notebook it is in happens to be lost in the bottomless pit
of the apartment I share with my bf. So I worked the first half from memory and
it didn’t turn out too bad if I do say so myself,
now I am working the second half and praying that they will end up matching up when I finish up the gusset.
So
as far as the blue doll, I think that particular color is slightly depressing
for whatever reason right now for me, so I have been avoiding working on it
quite a bit. So the progress on that little puppy has been slow indeed, it is
no ones fault but my own and I know that. But we will see if I can finish him
by the end of the year. I have got to keep my fingers crossed for that. Hopefully
soon the doll will not depress me as much, I really do not understand why it is
doing that either. I don’t really associate the color blue with that ever, It
is actually one of my favorite colors.
P.S. you remember that notebook with my pattern
prototypes I was talking about earlier, yea I took a break to clean the kitchen
before I started my baking for another post. And wouldn’t you know it the
notebook was not where I had thought it was (buried under the mail on the
island in the kitchen). Turns out it was buried under my running magazines on
the nightstand next to my bed… so I could have gotten the pattern without any
really big issues, my bad. Well now I am really off to go finish this domo-kun
doll.
As
always Luv ya all!
