Updates and new attempts.

Well I had hoped to get this post up yesterday, but life seemed to get in the way of me talking. This thing called life was simply the fact that I had to go grocery shopping and did not get home until late so no typing was done... I do apologize.

Running Update

My day started yesterday with the good old debate over whether or not I really wished to go for a run. At 830 when I checked the weather channel app and it said 44 degrees I thought that wouldn't be too bad to run in and I set off to get dressed, knowing full well that by the time I was ready to go it should have been about 52 degrees outside the apartment which in my mind should have been basically a cake walk to run in. last year I ran in 13 degree weather back in Colorado. The thing that I had not accounted for with the thoughts of my run was that it was also 85% humidity... this makes things insanely uncomfortable and either hotter or colder than one would expect. To me it almost felt as though it was colder than that day in Colorado, this is insane to me.

I did end up sucking it up and dealing with the unexpected weather, and it turned into a beautiful run. I ended the run at 5.21 miles at a 15'50"/mi pace this is a pretty decent pace for me. While I was originally planning on running 6-8 miles I was unable to get past the pain in my foot from my socks. I had even taken off my shoe twice mid run to adjust it. the problem was that the seam of my sock kept shifting along the side of my toe and wrapping around it cutting off the circulation and causing my toes to go numb. not a good time, I did deal with it for another 3 miles after it started so I guess it wasn't that bad of a time right.

I learned several lessons from these things; first that I need to invest in a couple pairs of warm compression running leggings as well as a new long sleeve full zip shirt to run in (my current pirate princess hooded sweatshirt from Disney is on its last leg) so the next week or so i will be researching cost of these items to add to my wordrobe.

Crochet Update
on the yarny front, I had almost dinished the Blue Bear's body last night, and finished it off this morning.

I really need to learn that things that worked for me when I was in college, or even when I lived out in colorado and worked at perfumania, to get projects done generally do not work out here. I dont have as much time on my lunch break and I do not ride public transport any more so carrying things to work on in my purse isnt really a good idea. it only serves to make the brick on my arm even heavier.

I think that if I work on it while I am at home I might be able to finish the bear and have it put into my etsy store within the next week. Fingers crossed things go well. I am hoping that I can keep up on these blog posts, trying to learn how to blog properly and plan.
