So I know this post is a wee bit late but I don't think I really needed to share this on the actual day my little turned 8 months old a few days ago and so much has changed since she came into our lives it's crazy to me. Over the last 8 months my little little has grown so much it's crazy to me, she went from being a tiny little girl of 6 lbs 6 oz in the 22% and 19 inches long, yes she was a tall one; to 28 inches long and 19 lbs and 3 oz in the 89% in January.(we don't weigh and measure her unless she is at the drs office and her next appointment is in April for her 9 month well child checkup and vaccinations.
Right now her favorite food is gerber mac and cheese and any brand of mixed veggies. She likes her fruit in the morning and takes her veggies for lunch and we try to give her a meal with meat for dinner but lately she hasn't really been a fan of that. She loves her moose wubba nub
and her toothbrush to chew on, and had started really liking the puffs.
we've been using the up and up brand from target for the trial taste tests before we buy a big pack of the gerber puffs from BJ's. She appears to finally be off the "everything I eat must be organic or I will throw it up" phase thank goodness I don't know how we would be able to afford her if she kept that up.
Her favorite clothes of the moment appear to have a penguin theme.
or maybe that shows a preference on my part more than hers. She does love baths so long as they are on the hot side of warm, not hot hot but warm hot like hotter than the lukewarm that is suggested for babies. She prefers her bath in the afternoon or at night before her bedtime story. Right now we are using a mix of johnson and Johnson, and aveno bath products. She doesn't really have any bath toys just yet as she still uses the baby bath tub.
Her favorite author is dr. Seuss and we are still working on the book collection.
We have also been reading a chapter here and there from the tales of whinnie the pooh. We try to make sure she has two naps a day, as she is getting over her first cold at the moment.
She got her first two teeth at 4.5-5months old and now she's trying to get her top fronts. Her favorite toy, and I use that term loosely, is my iPhone 6. The piece of technology that I am typing this on right now, my daughter loves to use to take pictures and videos of the inside of her mouth.
Yes she never try's any other point on the phone just the camera that is all she likes to chew. But I think the game she likes is even funnier she likes to end phone calls with anyone and everyone there is no discrimination on her side, she just likes to press the little red button.
I can't believe I also got my fiancé to agree to celebrating other church holidays, we are currently putting together her first Easter basket so stay tuned for that post later this month, I'm slowly picking up things I think she would like no candies just books, toys, cloths and things we can use for her. But like I said more on that later.
