Currently crafting: crochet!

So I don't know this may be a weekly or monthly feature on my blog, but I want to try and hold myself accountable for all of my projects in my crafting closet. We shall see how it plays out as far as the frequency of the currently crafting idea though.

But right now I have started another new project, hopefully I finish this one and it doesn't end up in the closet with the rest of them, fingers crossed on that one. But my current project is actually one I found for free at my local Micheals store in the yarn aisle. It is an afghan called  On The Plus Side
and was out together by the Caron design team.
Now I did pick this up as a free pattern from the store but as you can see from the back the diagram for how one would put the pieces together was a wee bit small, so what I ended up doing was taking it and blowing it up a little bit with some graph paper.
I also used some color to help me differentiate the different sections. And no I did not and still do not have graph paper on hand, and yes I did use a ruler to create this graph paper by hand.

So far I have enough squares finished to make about 4 of the sections. So in other words I have about 20-25 of the 180 squares finished. Wish me luck that I don't lose interest in this blanket like I know I usually do.

Right now the colors I have in play are a magenta, a sunshine yellow, and a brown I usually save for teddy bears. I may add some purples and blues from my stash when I find it in this new apartment.
