So if you have been following me on instagram, and if you don't you really should, you will know that for the last few months I have been trying out a new system for keeping track of my day. The bullet journal (instructions to be found here) and while I know I am very super late to the party on this one, I also know it was a difficult system for me to get the hang of. Adding to this the things that I changed to make it work for me are rather rudimentary.
But allow me to begin this entry by showing you all the notebook I chose for my bullet journal,
this notebook is not even remotely like the moleskine notebooks that a majority of people use for their journals, it is a notebook out of a 3 pack I got at Target for $4.99. I love it and the price is what really sold me on this set. Well that and I still even today can't condone spending $16-20 on a moleskine notebook for something that I may or may not continue doing for more than a couple months. And I really love the fact that this company makes recycled notebooks and they are always so colorful and fun looking.

Over all I like how this system works, having a monthly task list is definately helping me to keep track of everything that needs to be done each month (bills, paychecks, and important dates as well.) I am still having issues with keeping track of the bullet usage though, and I still have issues remembering to open it daily as well. I have been using it since March and I really do like it. My index is colorfull simply because I do use whatever pen I have handy at the time
And rarely is it black. Add to that I love that I can just add things in between the days of my planner portion and it doesn't mess with the flow of the bullet journal, you just add an new item to the index and continue the planning on the following page. This planning system to be honest completely replaced the old system I had in place for my blog posts, however to be honest it hasn't worked out too well the last week and a half.

Like I said I have had issues with the "bullet" portions of the journal,

The only down side I am finding with the system is since I do use it as a all encompassing system I can look back at the hours I was working before my old store closed to now and compare. I miss my old schedule and the paycheck that came with it, but what can you do.
I also dabbled a wee bit with using the system as a way of documenting things that happened during the day, but I found that I was being too negative and not getting what I wanted to remember. I am also using it as a way to keep track of clients from work and the things that they asked me to call them about when the clothing items arrived in the store.
Over all, I do really like the system and see myself continuing with it well after I fill up this notebook. Maybe then I will pick up a moleskine for it... You never know. Anyway that is it for now, I hope you all are having an amazing day! As always I luv you all! And I will chat again soon, like later today when I catch up with my runstreak updates.
