Why have I lost my motivation to run?

So the last few weeks I just haven't been able to motivate myself to run as easily as I had over the super hot and humid months of summer. I have narrowed this post to the top excuses that I have used to not go for my runs. although with this post I am not procrastinating a run, I am avoiding the doctors office... More on that later. Anyway on with the post,

1. Work and weather. With the holiday season and the fact that I work retail, I haven't really had too many days where I did not have to be at work all day and when I wasn't working would be the days that I always plan to do my runs. That being said, those were also the days where there were crazy snow and ice storms the last month.
It seems like Mother Nature just does not want me to be outside on my few days off. While back home in Colorado this measly amout of snow would not be an issue because of one little thing.

2. Apartment neglect. My apartment complex does not believe in shoveling the snow or salting the walks when there is ice and snow storms out here until after the sun has set... Now this is quite counter productive as the salt and other ice melts used only help at a specific temperature, and when it drops below that temp they actually can make the ice even worse (they use a marble shaped ice melt product). So think of it this way, icy sidewalk with itty bity marbles on it and it is dark... It is a lawsuit waiting to happen. And after slipping on the ice with two separate storms and almost tearing my knee again, I learned not to even walk to the gym to run if it has rained or snowed recently.

3. My boyfriend. I really hate to add him to this list, but he really isn't being supportive of my running anymore. And even worse he has been keeping me from it on the days off we share together. Like Tuesday and Wednesday this week for example. And lately it has been really ticking me off.

4. The doctor. This isn't really a reason for the last month just today but I will post lengthy details on this a little later, had to do with a car accident mid December and a possible concussion for me.

And with that I am off to get me some breakfast   and head out to the hospital, wish me good luck as I tend to have nothing but bad luck when it comes to doctors.
