Knit-Olympics yay or nay...

So I just realized today that the Olympics are coming up, and it has been exactly 4 years I think since I did ravalympics with the bleeding heart stole. That being said I am thinking of actually just doing my own kind of intense project for that time period without the pressure of actually committing to something in an online forum that I really respect and worry about being secretly judged. Subconsciously I don't believe anyone really reads this blog so it is really just for me to talk and if you do read please don't judge me. But I can't decide what lace project from my list of shawls to do. I have narrowed it down quite a bit... Well to three. But I haven't even picked out the yarn or anything of that sort. 

At this point I think I am going to have to go with either a crochet cotton or bamboo thread. Both are sold in Walmart and Michael's stores in town, and would make things much easier. I am thinking between the Rose Trellis shawl by Catherine Devine which would require 2200 yds (2012 m) of lace weight yarn, Spanish Armada by MMario and requires 1500 yds (1372 m) of yarn, Or lastly Butterflies Shetland shawl by Susan gutperl which requires 2187 yds (2000 m) of lace weight yarn. I should also say that all of these patterns are on ravelry and I linked them in the bold type face. I would insert some photos of the patterns but I have a slight fear of copyright law and do not wish to cross it.

But I am having some serious issues picking what to make. I really want to do one of these lace projects, as it has been a while since I have done any knitting let alone lace. But we shall see what tomorrow holds, I might pick up some yarn and find my needles. Actually I may have to order some needles, I don't think my knitpicks set made the move with me. Please pardon me while I slap myself for my foolishness. Well that is it for tonight, it is crazy late and I think I might have gotten back into a grove with my sleeping (I'm actually tired for once).
