Thanksgiving like every other holiday is a big deal in my family, and while I am not able to be home with them this year I hope that I can be soon. The tradition in my family is simple, my mother would get up super early in the morning and start on the day's baking needs. Usually with a simple breakfast of butter braids, cinnamon rolls and eggs. Unfortunately I won't be doing these things this year simply because I am the only one home this morning, the bf had to work and won't be back until it is time to go to his parents' for dinner and such.
Besides the fact that I was really unprepared for the holiday, don't know what to bring with us. So he decided we were gonna bring some homemade sodas and whiskey. Should make for an interesting night. I will also be editing this post throughout the day with updates and such.

ETA: well the bf and I ended up having a lot of fun at his parents house for thanksgiving. We did stay later than we planned, because we were playing crazy 8s and dominoes. While I never expected to like playing card games and the like I am finding that the more that I play them the more enjoyable they become. I'm just so used to being in the thick of the kitchen activity that I don't know what to do with myself at his parents house when we go there. It's still foreign to me. Oh well I should stop complaining and see what I can get into today. I don't work until noon and only pull a swing shift. So it's just 6 hrs for me today. Wish me luck on finding a parking space. I'll let you all know if I buy anything at the Black Friday sales.
