Well this week has been interesting to say the least. Monday I
went for a little over 2 mile run, and then went into work at about 330. On the
run I did get some really interesting pictures I'm not really sure how they
will be seen on here but I will post them anyway. Simply because if you know me
at all you know that I have a slight obsession with old cemeteries and all
things macabre. And the fact that I was able to find this itty bitty cemetery
was amazing. In all of the months that I have run the route I did on Monday I
had never noticed it before. I think that is because of the corn field that was
cut down a couple weeks ago used to block it from view.
It is absolutely insanely beautiful
and peaceful. I felt horrible for taking pictures like I was disturbing the
peaceful nature of it by bringing anything newer than a pencil and paper. To
document the moments. Maybe I am just a little too weird. Oh well like I said I
enjoy these sorts of things. They make me feel closer to my family back home
and all of the people I have lost in my life. Oh jeez here I am becoming an
over sharer again. My apologies. Anyway on with the review.
I also discovered on Tuesday that I
stink at keeping track of my finances... well I don't totally stink at it; its
just that in the last month I had stopped keeping track of every purchase in my
check register like I had been doing since my move and as a result the worst
thing happened, I ended up with an over draft fee. The first since I moved out
here. I don't like the feeling of not knowing how much I have in my accounts
and I really dislike asking my parents for help with these sorts of things. But
that is what I had to do. Not ideal but right now I am on a non-spending week
in order to get my savings back up. Hopefully my boss starts to give me more
hours... crossing my fingers.
Tuesday and Wednesday there was no running other
than running errands. But here are some pictures anyway, Wednesday was his turn to make breakfast and it was yummy. He found the recipe on Facebook and it is just cinnamon rolls into the waffle maker, who would have thought right? Well I mean someone did or how would it have been online.
Thursday, was a day of work followed by
coming home and then going straight to my boyfriend’s hockey game. I was smart
and thought that it would be warm at this sort of game... not the brightest
move. I also forgot to take my camera, a mistake I will not be making again
with the next game. However I did get some moderately decent pictures with my
phone, well one or two anyway. it was all fun until we got home but
I already talked about that.
Friday was a moderately long run of 4 ish
miles and it was quite enjoyable if not insanely cold. I took a familiar route
for my run and took it out a little bit further than I would normally go it was
fun. I ended up seeing some really random things. I passed a really pretty
creek and a dead possum. And turned around at a really cute little mini-golf
place. I think I might try and convince the boyfriend to go on our next day
off, if it actually gets warm enough for ice-cream again.
I also
finished Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. I really and thoroughly enjoyed it
and am currently looking for the next book in the series to read as well as
pretty much any other book anyone thinks might be enjoyable. I just need
something to read to occupy my time.
Oh and lets not forget the loveliness that
happened Friday night. With how I am, when my mother brings up that my father
was talking about the "M" word with her about me and the boyfriend. I
think it is funny and tell the boyfriend... he isn't as amused, actually let’s
be frank, he wasn't amused at all. He is actually kind of worried. Apparently
there is a hidden tenuous relationship between a father and his daughter's
boyfriend that I being the daughter am not privy to. But when the father begins
to talk the "M" word the boyfriend must begin to think about it as
well. Even if the daughter thinks the whole scenario is fricken hilarious. Oh
well maybe my sense of humor is not approved of by the people in my life. Bah. Well
this whole conversation led to massive awkwardness here to say the least. Oh
well.
Today’s run was pretty uneventful, other
than deciding that I definitely need some more warm running clothes. I wore
Capri pants and a short sleeved tee shirt again. While I really like the idea
of having long sleeves and full length compression running leggings, I cannot
condone spending the kind of money that it would require at the moment. I mean
with the scare that I had on Tuesday... but that doesn't stop me from
researching them. I am thinking of just going with an Old Navy or Target
version of these things to save money. I mean I have been losing a lot of weigh
recently and I don't think that buying the expensive versions would help me in
anyway. It’s really pointless if I would only be wearing them for about 1-3
months. Right. But my parents want to buy them for me.
I think I would just be better off
asking them to get me a jacket, that way even if I lose weight I can just keep
wearing it. All of my jackets tend to be really baggy and I wear them a lot
longer than I probably should. My Jack Skellington hoodie and the pirate
princess one I have been wearing lately can attest to that. They are both
raggedy and torn to hell. I mean I keep patching them just so that I can keep
wearing them. I just love them so much. But back to the run today, when I
started it was 36 degrees outside and when I finished it was about 40 degrees.
I ran about 3.5 miles and have gotten some really pretty pictures. the frost was insane even toward the end of my run. I am really proud of the
flower pictures. They are covered in frost even at 945am its crazy. And it is really aparent that it is autumn here in Pennsylvania, the trees in the neighborhoods all look a lot like this one. They just may have more or less leaves depending on where they are.
I do love the colors out here. Back home you might get a week of yellow but with the hill we lived on the wind would blow all of the leaves off the trees before any real colors began to show.

After the run was work for four hours of
training and then I went grocery shopping with the boyfriend. We didn't really
get anything too interesting. And that is about all that happened this week. Tomorrow
I will be getting another run in and trying to work on catching up on my
photo-a-day challenges on instagram. I'm so far behind it is just sad, just a
little over two weeks. Well I think that is all that I have to say tonight. Talk
to you all later
Luv ya!
