Anyway while I haven't really gotten much knitting or crochet done in the last month (the boxes of yarn are still in Colorado) I have been attempting to get my running routine back, and have kinda been able to do just that. The other day I beat my personal best 5k time and then yesterday I did 2.74mi of hills on the elliptical trainer in the gym at the apartment followed by 2.06mi of running on the roads and trails outside. I might have over done it though because my knee swelled up like a balloon and would not bend for about 5hrs after the fact. But the rest of me felt fantastic.
So I need to find some way to lose more weight and be less of an impact on my knees. Swimming is out at the moment, (we live in a small town now and the apartment has no pool) I could use the bike in the gym more often, but it is a first come first served scenario (there is only one stationary bike in the gym) silly I know. Hmmm I'm sure I will figure something out. Hopefully I can find some races here to do in the next couple moths to give me something to train for besides my big big run in October (which I might not do cause I am scared out of my mind) the bf doesn't think I should plan to far in advance anyway because we need to be focused on the here and now. Ugh. So dumb. I need things to look forward to for a place to be home. And to keep my mind at ease. How about you all?
Sorry if this post reads as more of a rant than my happy focused posts I wanted to write. But oh well tomorrow is another day and I will try to post after work with some pictures of my coworkers. (^_^)/ have a happy Tuesday.
